The Gang of 8 held a press conference yesterday afternoon to outline their immigration reform bill.
With confidence, the eight senators stood behind the podium and one-by-one explained some of the measures proposed.
Senator Chuck Schumer said that the bill will not begin mark-up until the first week of May, which gives Congress three weeks to read the bill and create amendments. Senator McCain explained they will welcome suggestions but will definitely oppose amendments that will prevent real comprehensive immigration reform and seek to continue the current system.
