If you have lost the Form I-797 Approval Notice issued in connection with an Immigrant Petition or Nonimmigrant Petition or Application, you may file form I-824 Application for a Duplicate Approval Notice. This duplicate approval notice application does not cover requests to replace an Employment Authorization Card, Permanent Resident Card (Green Card), or Form I-94. The Form I-824 application only replaces the I-797 Approval Notice.
If you filed an application or petition with USCIS that was approved, but you never received the Approval Notice, then you may file form I-824 Application for a Duplicate Approval Notice.
