The U.S. Department of State UU. It operates a visa processing center known as the National Visa Center or NVC, located in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, which is responsible for charging fees and collecting documents for visa applications.

National Visa Center: how it works

The National Visa Center organizes all visa applications in chronological order according to the date of submission of the visa application, known as the priority date. When an individual’s priority date coincides with the last qualifying date, the National Visa Center notifies and explains to the petitioner and the applicant that they must send the fees for the processing of the application. The National Visa Center follows a preferential category, which is displayed in the Visa Bulletin that shows the current month and year of visa applications, published by the US Department of State. UU.

Immigrant visa number
